hey y'all! welcome to my site:) for several years, i had a really cheesy intro page up, and i'm finally updating it. my name is natalia. i love to write because it allows me to put words to my experiences and emotions, and the experiences of others.

i'm quiet; i like to observe the world around me, to take it all in. the world can be a dark, confusing, upsetting place. it can also be one filled with joy, peace, and beauty. our human experience teaches us this -- that these two extremes of life are not mutually exclusive. sometimes life contradicts itself, sometimes we hold in our hearts experiences that are at odds with each other. in reality, most of life is lived in the middle. surrounded by the peaks of joy and the valleys of sorrow is our common, ordinary, daily life.

i want this space, this site, to be a place where we can explore every aspect of the human experience. i want to be able to put words to the pinnacles of happiness and the pangs of loss. i want to find the beauty and meaning in the mundanities of our lives and consider the complexities of our world, our relationships, and our own selves. i hope that through my work, you can find encouragement, empathy, or inspiration.

i'm based in louisville, kentucky. i'm a little bit of a nerd, a coffee snob, and a wannabe wine connoisseur. i like cooking and trying new recipes. i love plants but struggle to keep mine alive. i dabble ever so slightly in photography, digital and film, and i'd love to do this more. in my free time, i'm usually walking to a local coffee shop, going out with friends, finding a new book to read, or spending the day with my sweet husband. you can find his work HERE. if you'd like to connect please email me at blogpoetica@gmail.com. i'd love to hear from you!
